Our Keto Food Wins At The Free From Food Awards!

First launched in 2008, the Free From Food Awards remain the UK’s only awards dedicated to excellence in free from food & drink.

This year we again welcomed over 550 entries which were assessed by our incredible team of judges who joined us in person and remotely, spending over 200 hours critiquing every entry.

Our judging panels are carefully curated for each category, and include chefs, developers, manufacturers, nutritionists and along with those living with or catering for those with food hypersensitivity. Many are well-known figures in the food and allergy worlds.  Together our judges bring an unrivalled wealth of knowledge to the famous FFFA judging table. There is no right or wrong, everyone has a valued and different perspective, and we actively encourage challenge & discussion.

Our judging categories cover the full spectrum of free from food & drink requirements and we welcome entries ranging from affordable staples to premium products for special occasions, along with everything in between.

Judging is a complex process with multiple factors being considered and discussed. Afterwards we review all the scores and opinions, and along with input from our remote judges, assess the feedback and only then award medals. And we don’t limit the number of medals, partly due to the diversity of entries within each category; if a product is worthy of a particular medal then that’s what it gets!

It is fantastic to reflect and look back to see how the number of medals awarded has increased over time, undeniable testimony to the evolution of the free from category.

The Journey To Silver

We wanted to create a keto friendly snack that is truly keto formulated with clean, real food ingredients.  We know how hard it is to find clean keto foods and we know how hard manufacturing non-traditional foods is.  So we set out and did many trials of our keto crackers.

Making keto foods without using wheat, grains and starches is a challenge in a commercial setting.  What works in the home kitchen doesn’t necessarily work in a commercial bakery. Plus, it had to have the right texture, shape and size and it had to taste great!  So after months of experimenting, we came up with the perfect recipe for our Keep Keto Garlic Bread Crackers.

Positive feedback and reviews from our customers is what drives us to keep making what we all love. Hearing how our keto foods have made an impact in somebody’s health and how it’s a staple go-to snack for people on the keto diet or other free from diets has been incredibly rewarding. Winning silver at the Free From Awards has been a highlight in our journey.
